What the rules say you are entitled to

• Your passport or ID belongs to you. No employer, agency or landlord may keep it.
• Wages you have worked for are yours. Deductions for a job, a bed or a debt are not allowed to leave you unpaid.
• You may leave a workplace or a house. Being locked in, watched or driven everywhere is not normal work.
• Being undocumented does not remove your protection. In the EU and many other countries, victims of trafficking can get help and a reflection period regardless of status.
• You do not need proof to ask for help. Telling someone what happens to you is enough to start.
