The category, defined honestly
Human rights due diligence software covers the operational side of the UN Guiding Principles: identify risk, act on it, track whether the action worked, and communicate. Most tools in this market do one part well — questionnaires, or country data, or entity screening — and leave the rest to spreadsheets. The gap is usually between finding a risk and doing something documented about it.
Risk identification that can be explained
A score is only useful if a reviewer can see why it moved. Libera scores every supplier, site and labour provider on five structural components plus live official-list screening, and names each contributing factor in the result rather than returning an opaque rating.

Worker voice is not an optional module
Desktop risk data tells you where to look. It cannot tell you what is happening this month at one site. A confidential channel can surface recruitment debt, withheld wages, retained documents and threats that no questionnaire returns. In Libera, workers report without a name, phone number, account or precise location, and management sees only aggregated indicator counts.

From signal to human decision
A warning signal should not end in an inbox. When signals accumulate at a site or supplier, Libera raises the risk status and marks it for human review, with the reason stated. A case file then records the investigation, the evidence register, remediation actions with owners and due dates, and the outcome.
Evidence that exists before it is needed
Audit requests, customer questionnaires and authority enquiries all ask the same thing: what did you know, when, and what did you do. Libera keeps dated screening history, aggregated signal records, case timelines, access verification records and an immutable activity log, exportable as a single report.
What it does not do
Libera does not conduct site inspections, does not certify suppliers, does not determine that forced labour occurred, and does not guarantee compliance with any law. It also does not replace worker organisations, labour inspectorates or remediation partners — it gives your team a way to see risk earlier and respond in a documented way.

Screen suppliers
Every supplier, site and labour provider is scored on country prevalence, government response, sector intensity, workforce size and use of recruitment intermediaries, then checked against official sanctions and import-ban lists at the time of the check.

Open and verify worker access
A QR poster at agreed access points opens a confidential reporting page in the worker's own language. Access can be verified through announced or unannounced checks by the buyer or an independent auditor, and the result is recorded per site.

Receive confidential signals
Workers report without a name, phone number, account or precise location. Management never reads an individual account; only aggregate indicator counts reach the console.

Detect patterns
Signals are clustered by site, supplier and ILO indicator, so a repeated pattern becomes visible even when each report on its own looks minor.

Human review
When signals accumulate, the supplier's risk status is raised and flagged for human review. Libera never concludes that forced labour occurred — a person decides what happens next.

Case and remediation
A case file records the investigation timeline, evidence register, remediation actions with owners and due dates, and the documented outcome.
