Worker protection & safeguarding

Fewer people see less. A person decides every escalation.

How access to worker reports is limited, how concerns are escalated by human reviewers, and the limits of what Libera does.

Not an emergency service. If someone is in immediate danger, call 112 (EU) or local emergency services.

Who can see what

Company users
See grouped warning-sign counts per site and indicator. Never the worker's own words, evidence, receipt code or identity.
Sensitive Reviewers
Individually designated by an organisation admin, with a recorded reason. The only people who can open narratives, evidence and child-safeguarding records. Every opening is audit-logged.
Libera platform staff
Aggregate counts only. Case notes and evidence only through time-limited break-glass access (5–60 minutes, reason required, logged in the customer's audit log).

Escalation process (human-run)

  1. Libera is not an emergency service. Anyone in immediate danger should call 112 (EU) or local emergency services.
  2. Reports with threats, violence, document retention, movement restriction or a child concern are flagged by the database for priority human review.
  3. Only designated Sensitive Reviewers open the narrative; every opening is audit-logged.
  4. The reviewer decides on escalation and records the reason. No automatic contact with employers, suppliers or authorities.
  5. Never ask a worker for proof, photos or confrontation. Follow up only through the receipt-code channel.
  6. Do not share site-identifying details with site management while retaliation risk is open.
  7. External referral only to a resource the organisation itself has verified and recorded; no Libera partnership is implied.

Concerns involving children

Age is recorded only as a band in a restricted record. Age alone never sets urgency or creates a finding. Reviewers record jurisdiction context and referral decisions themselves; no country rules are inferred and no packs are pre-loaded.

What Libera does not do

  • Libera is not an emergency service. In immediate danger, call 112 (EU) or local emergency services.
  • Libera does not guarantee anonymity or protection from retaliation; it reduces exposure through access limits.
  • Libera does not contact employers, suppliers, authorities or the worker automatically.
  • Libera has no referral partner agreement. Reviewers may record local resources their own organisation has verified.
  • WhatsApp is not a live worker-reporting channel today; reporting is by the confidential web form.
  • Worker-page translations other than English are drafts not yet reviewed by native speakers.
